UB2 Ltd - United Kingdom
UB2 is a building preservation company based in the North Yorkshire moors. The company currently use sand and cement in damp proofing works for both rising damp control and lateral dampness in structures below ground. We see the RGH as an alternative with great benefits. To be able to use an inherently waterproof and rigid material which can formed into a board with interlocking edges satisfies many market requirements. That fact that this product is recycled and inexpensive would provide us and clients with additional reasons to specify it. William Kidd, Director of UB2 is also the chairman of the Institute of Specialist Surveyors and Engineers. The ISSE is the voice and learned authority of the building preservation industry.
The ISSE liaise with relevant government agencies in helping to shape government policy on building regulations and products. The board members have all considered the new material and products and are wholeheartedly in support of them. The dissemination of the new material and products via the ISSE would undoubtedly lift sales substantially possibly by a factor of 100 via the ISSE approved contractors register.
